AppLogic Networks reached out to me because some recent incidents made them look at road safety more seriously. Crashes occur in everyday situations – when people go to work, when they are running an errand, dropping off a child to school, a longer drive on vacation. Quite a few people raised their hands when I asked if they had experienced a close encounter themselves or seen one. And so they were very receptive to the discussion on road safety.
The caption contest has proven to be a good way to engage the people. AppLogic Networks also ran a caption contest prior to the talk. Here are some of the messages we received for the picture below:
* Spent 20 minutes lining up the beard. Spent 0 seconds putting on a helmet
* Aaj shaam 6 baje maut ke saath appointment hai apna
* Multi tasking can give you an opportunity to meet God
* Smart phone. Dumb choice.
* Risking everyones life to ask “how are you?”
* Hello insurance company? I need you in 5 minutes
* Your helmet belongs on your head, not on your bike.
65 people attended the talk. Here is some feedback received afterwards:
- Thanks Sanjay for the session today. It was very relevant, and I am sure it was helpful for everyone who joined
