The Institute of Maritime Studies in Goa was founded by my father in 1997. He passed away in Feb 2026, so it was special to visit this place. I always feel the impact that he created through this institute that he founded.
This session on Proactive Driving was conducted in person. 80 cadets attended my talk.
They were engaged all through. After the session, there were some interesting questions regarding use of public transport, and also handling surprises arising from animals on the road. A couple of cadets came up to me and told me that they found the session to be very interactive and engaging. One of the cadets said that while he has attended road safety lectures in school / college, this one was very different, and more impactful.
Thanks to Mr. Shivram Kamat, Director of IMS, Goa for taking the initiative and organizing this session.
